blasphemy wobbles

"Lynching of a student sparks uproar in Pakistan against blasphemy laws
Mashal Khan was shot dead by a mob after a heated university discussion. But rarely has the country responded so forcefully for someone accused of blasphemy."

The cruelties begotten by belief no longer strike me as being out-shone by the kindnesses it can likewise engender. Unless and until belief will take responsibility for its bloodshed and exclusivity passing for inclusiveness, for just that long decent human beings with a scintilla of honesty and courage should steer well clear.... The hangman's noose is not picky.
