Two pretty strong admonitions in any decent spiritual persuasion:
-- Trust the teacher completely.
-- Find out for yourself.
Intellectually, this makes no sense. It leaves people yowling about paradox and contradiction.
Nevertheless, the admonitions are not just gimcrack religion.
